I DONE WOKE UP – Sue 1964
Louisiana Red’s father was lynched by the Klu Klux Klan when he was five and his mother died of pneumonia when he was only a week old. A bluesman, he is still performing (see his website link for venues). In the past he has played with B. B. King and Muddy Waters.
I always remember the line from his song:
‘They call me Louisiana Red and I come from behind the setting sun’.
